QPR: Question Persuade Refer Glasses for Groups

HSHS Sacred Heart & St. Joseph's hospitals' 3D Community Health are host free sessions for anyone who would like to learn how to recognize the warning signs that someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to help them. The training is called "Question, Persuade, Refer" - or "QPR." Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save a life.

Classes are held on an ongoing basis. Groups can also request a class.

Chippewa Valley Takes a Stand for Fruits & Veggies with Innovative Marketing

Eau Claire Healthy Communities, Chippewa Health Improvement Partnership and Eat Well Dunn County, in collaboration with other local and state partners, today announced a partnership with FNV, the brand for fruits and veggies. Together, FNV and local partners are on a mission to get Chippewa Valley residents eating more fruits and veggies. The FNV campaign will appear on buses, billboards, online and on social media in the Chippewa Valley from June to November 2017.

Mental Health First Aid Classes for Groups and Individuals

This FREE one day class teaches the common risk factors and warning signs of specific types of illnesses such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.

Mental Health First Aid offers a tailored supplement that builds upon the effectiveness of the standard Mental Health First Aid curriculum by focusing on the unique experiences and needs of specific groups. 

We currently have three modules:  youth, military/vets, and older adults.
