Walking Club promotes fitness and community - WINTER
Wednesday, November 02, 2016
The Partners of St. Joseph's Hospital will help motivate and encourage fitness with their new Partners Walking Club. The Partners Walking Club is free and will meet every Wednesday at 10:00 AM A member of the Partners of St. Joseph's Hospital will meet for a walk at the Duck Pond (SPRING/SUMMER) or the Chippewa Valley Family YMCA (LATE FALL/WINTER).
"The reason we decided to start a Walking Club was not only to encourage fitness, but also to promote connections," says Diane Fish, coordinator of the Partners Walking Club. "We know being active helps promote good mental health and it's easier to do when you have someone else to join you."
The program is part of Chippewa Health Improvement Partnership's Compassionate City initiative. For more information, contact St. Joseph's Hospital's Volunteer Services, 715-717-7439.
